- Silverlight HD Video Streaming really shows promise. Adobe/Flash should be worried.
- Subblue released his Fractal Explorer Pixel Blender plugin. This means realtime (GPU-driven) Julia/Mandelbrot orbit traps. Subblue recommends these wonderful Ernst Haeckel images as input for the orbit maps.

- Photomatix | Commercial HDR software. Actually I prefer the ‘Fattal’ tonemapping in Qtpfsgui, but for reality Photomatix excels. Notice: the free trial does not expire, and can be used to import multi-exposure RAW images and align them. It is possible to save the pictures in .HDR format, and import them into qtpfgui (which is not able to read the RAW files from my Canon 1000D).

- Dropbox. Syncs files between computers with revision history. Cross-platform. 2GB free. I’ve recently dropped using LiveMesh (too CPU- and ram-intensive), but this one looks very promising.
- A Guitar Hero text adventure. It doesn’t get any better than this.
- Google Earth has just added 14 Giga-pixel of selected artworks. This is really fascinating - being able to zoom from outer space into the brushstrokes on a painting in Madrid. In related news, Google Maps added transit layers for many cities, including Copenhagen.
